Earlier there was buzz that Chiranjeevi’s blockbuster Tagore is being remade in Hindi with Aamir Khan in the lead. The latest we hear is Akshay Kumar is showing interest to do this film in Hindi. Filmmaker Vipul Shah contacted director Murugadoss about remaking this in Hindi.
Murugadoss directed the original version of Tagore in Tamil with Vijayakanth, which is called Ramana. Murugadoss is well known to Bollywood audience with Ghajini remake. With Anna Hazare’s anti corruption movement turning out to be sensational, Bollywood is eyeing to make films on this concept and cash in on the buzz.
Murugadoss confirmed that he is doing a film with Akshay Kumar but he denied to admit that it is a remake of Tagore aka Ramana. Murugadoss wants to work on a new script with the same plot it seems.
